“Laughter, Sex, Vegetatables and Fish”

Brought together by a curiosity for the potential of limitations, 13 artists of diverse background, vision and practice embarked on an experiment in process- 3 weeks from scratch to exhibition opening. Through a whirlwind of personal and collaborative process, critique and support, the artists drew a common thread across mediums. Surveyed, collated and distilled, with the support and facilitation of the NOIR Darkroom crew the artists present; All The Things That Remain.

For this exhibition, Kathy created a body of work titled “Laughter Sex, Vegtables and Fish” which consisted of foam board mounted collages, found objects and a watercolour painting.

"Laughter, Sex, Vegetables and Fish" is an icky, oozy exploration of the visceral side of existence. Life’s a ride baby. All that remains are fragmented memories and physical decay. This series is a celebration of abundance, the beautiful, the ugly and all the things left unsaid. Our bodies are vessels of flesh and secrets, what's ruminating in you?
