Alison Lester’s much-loved illustrated children’s book “Magic Beach” is reimagined for the screen through a unique mix of live action entwined with extraordinary animated stories from ten leading Australian animators.

“Tangerine Boat” is a 7 minute animated short created by Kathy Sarpi and produced by by Arenamedia that reimagines a chapter in the story drawing inspiration a drawing of a boat with a tangerine rim. The film follows the curiosity of a boy initially stuck in the sand to discover the big wide world of the sea and learn to take a leap.
