Tama_grumpy (2022)

Tama_Grumpy was first conceptualized for an art show curated by Luna Tunes.
It was displayed on an “retro” iMac computer from 2005 and was playing on loop in the gallery space. It was then also exhibited at Seventh Gallery in the “Singing Praises” group show exhibtion

Tama Grumpy is a play on the tamagotchi toys. Tamagotchis are often found sitting grumpily around piles of poo, crying out for food and love. Tama Grumpy explores the full range of her hostility, first triggered by life “handing her lemons” and instead of “making lemonade” she makes a dash to the pub. Her mischievous en-devours begin to spiral out of control, her bad mood causing havoc every step she takes. A tarot reading offers her some reasonable advice, thought its a little too late.

The music melody is "Ragtime" by Stephen Flaherty composed by me on piano in garageband
